Every year, Americans spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on shoes. While many girls have an entire wardrobe of shoes, countless boys are now assembling collections of shoes as well. Everyone needs at least one good pair of shoes, whether they are classic dress shoes or more modern emo skate shoes.
If God told you that you have beautiful feet, wouldn’t it change the way you looked at footwear? It is a fact. It doesn’t matter what your feet look like, they are great in God’s eyes if you want to share your faith with other people.
Isaiah 52:7 provides some interesting insight regarding the way that God envisions our feet. This scripture, which is also repeated in Romans 10:15, says: “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’” As you may notice, if you can share your faith with other people, you also have great feet.
What is the reason that God mentions our feet? Is there any particular reason that God does not mention anything about our faces and hands? The Bible mentions feet in several other places in Scripture. For example, consider Psalm 119:105: “God’s word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths.” If we keep our stride in his step, it implies that we’re standing and walking in the light of His glory, making our feet absolutely beautiful.
Many who understand this concept have continued on the path by wearing Christian footwear. Not unlike the lyrics to the Audio Adrenaline song, “Hands and Feet,” this footwear reminds you that your beautiful feet are God’s feet. Christian shoes are available with verses and messages from the Bible printed on them. This brand of footwear is wonderful for those who are happy to admit their faith using their beautiful feet. In addition, there are numerous styles of shoes to accommodate the needs of many individuals.
You don’t necessarily need to have special Christian footwear, but it will help get the message out. Each time you are discussing your faith with a friend or talking about attending church during a conversation with a coworker, think about how God views your feet. And don’t let anyone affect the way that you share about your faith. After all, to paraphrase Psalm 121:3, if you are standing with the Lord, He will not let your feet be moved.
