For decades Vans has been catering to their skateboarding fans, but recently Vans men’s shoes have expanded into a much more diverse array of styles. Somehow despite this change the “cool” company continues to maintain its integrity and truth to its vision of being both anti society and for it at the same time. It’s no coincidence that while many other sneaker companies have come and gone, Vans is still here, as relevant as ever.
One example of the new creativity that must be infesting their offices is the men’s slip-on shoe. How does Vans manage to make a slip-on shoe which is not “girly”? I don’t know. That’s why they’re in the business and I’m not.
For some, these new type of Vans men’s shoes might take a little getting used to, but I can guarantee you that sooner or later you will take a liking to these lace-less kicks. They are very popular throughout California, as has Vans always been. There are now adults who still wear their shoes because that’s what they grew up on. Pretty soon grandpas will be wearing them!
Now, no discussion of Vans would be complete without mentioning the low price which they have always sold their shoes for. You don’t always have to pay a bunch for style. In the case of these beauties, nothing could be further from the truth.
The bottom line is that Vans has demonstrated over a quite long period of time that it is going to stick with its fan base. They are reliable and they will always keep producing affordable men’s shoes (and women’s) until people no longer wear sneakers.
