How much do you think about shoes? If you are like most women you will have several pairs in your wardrobe that you wear a lot, and more pairs that only see the light of day every now and again.

But when summer rolls around many of us tend to come up short when it gets warm. Will you be ready for the warmer weather?

Of course the main type of footwear to go for is sandals. But these can be anything from dressy to very casual, and it is important to make sure you have the right kind of sandals for the right occasion.

Perhaps you have a job which requires you to dress up smartly every day. The same pair of casual shoes or sandals that you would wear on a beach likely won’t be suitable for your day job as well!

Similarly, if you are going out on the town for the evening, neither your smartest open shoes nor your beach pair are likely to be suitable for that situation. That’s why you need to think about where you will be wearing each of the pairs of sandals you are thinking of buying, so that you get the best use out of them each and every time.

So first of all you need to think about the reasons why you want to buy a pair of summery shoes or sandals, besides keeping your feet cool. It could also be the case that sandals aren’t suitable for each and every situation. Sandals are ordinarily open toed by nature, and as any woman who has worn them on a crowded train will tell you, it can be extremely painful if someone accidentally treads on your foot.

In this situation a pair of shoes might be better than a proper sandal and you can always go for a design that has some kind of lattice effect to let some air in. It’s necessary to think practically as well as trying to decide what you really want. The same applies to every situation you might want to wear sandals in.

For example, imagine you are going off on a beach holiday and you need one or two pairs of sandals to take with you. Practical needs would be important here too, as there is every chance that you would wear them on the beach and perhaps even get them wet. As such a pair of sandals that are designed to become wet without getting damaged would be ideal.

As you can see, women’s shoes and sandals can hold a lot of importance for every woman. So whether you are looking for something minimal, or something that will keep your feet protected while still letting the air in, make sure you consider all the options before you buy.
