Few people know that there is a secret language or code that can be spoken using flowers. Even fewer know that there is a secret language that is conveyed using the very colors you wear. You might find it hard to believe that colors effect people more than they are aware.

Hospitals paint the walls in their operating rooms a green color. They do this in order to negate the bright crimson color of blood.

Restaurants color their walls bright and cheery colors so that you associate their establishment with happiness and keep coming back for more. The language of color is complex and vastly intriguing. Here is simple lexicon that will help you decipher just what others are saying and what you want to say.

The Language Palette
Are you a power player that lives for the challenge? Do you live day to day with a hearty passion that doesnt seem to abate? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then red is the color for you.

If you feel that you are more of a pink, you wont be surprised to find that pink symbolizes faithfulness, excitement, compassion and an overall good health.

Oranges are colors of happiness, enthusiasm, adventure, warmth and courage. Many will agree that, when gazing upon orange, you can’t help but feel like smiling.

Browns and greens go together so well because they are two colors that compliment each other. Browns and greens symbolize growth, earthiness, reliability, dependability, vitality, and relaxation. Not surprising that very colors of the earth are so full of life.

Yellow is a color for the upbeat, lighthearted, artistic, outwardly expressive, optimistic, cheerful and intelligent person. Wearing yellow is like telling the world around you that you are happy and looking to stay that way.

All hues of blue express pretty much the same things. Blue is a color for the highly regarding. Blue is the color of the lofty sky and the deepest oceans. Blue is serious, peaceful, loyal, healthy, cool, energizing, changing, electric, and calm. Blue (usually light blue) is one of the most sought after color in shirts- it is second only to white.

One of the most powerful colors on earth is purple. This color has been the color of many royal families over thousands of years. Purple was the color of the Gods in Egypt and it is still a potent and imperial color today. Purple is passionate, powerful, proud, romantic, sensual, and imaginative.

When speaking of the language of color, one cannot forget the color of all colors- black. Black, despite the heaviness and negativity associated with it, is a color for elegance, seduction, mystery, authority and depth.

The final color on our palette is gold. The color gold is the color of discovery, prestige, refinement, creativity, exclusivity and divinity. Gold is the color of the gods, and is yearned for by the mortals that worship them.

As you can see, colors are more than just pigments in ink and paint. Colors express for you, what you cannot say in words.
