Women have become extremely conscious of the looks they present. It is no longer simply about looking good or wearing fashionable clothes and shoes. It is about wearing the right outfit at the right time and to the right place. Also, thanks to the boom in the shoes and garments sector, fashion trends are changing almost by the day. Women especially, like to keep track of all these drifts in trends and appear stylish and up-to-the-minute in everything they wear.

Starting from the outfit, to shoes, jewelry, and right down to the handbag you carry everything plays an important role in deciding the impression you create. If you discount the significance of any one of these items you run the risk of ruining the impression you create. Shoes, of course, are an integral part of the look that you present. Ladies shoes are not just protective coverings for your feet. They are fashion elements and you must know what shoes to wear with what kind of dresses and to what occasions.

The market is flooded with ladies shoes of all types, and come to think of it, you may find it extremely difficult to choose one pair that is a perfect match for your outfit. Here’s a quick guide on the different types of ladies shoes available in the market, and what goes best with what.

Flats are shoes without any heels. Flats can come in almost any style. They can be casual skimmers made of canvas or elegant ballroom shoes with bows in the front and made of traditional patent leather. Alternatively,, they may even come in the form of rough and ragged loafers or moccasins. Depending on the design and style of your Flat shoe, you can practically wear them with anything starting from jeans to capris to trousers and even skirts.

Heels can be of various types and depending on the size and style of the heels the shoes become completely different from each other. The commonest types of heels are the pumps, stilettos, chunky heels, wedge heels, kitten heels, etc. Pumps are considered dress shoes and go best with short dresses. Stilettos are primarily for those parties and go best with gowns, while chunky heels go best with your casual denim blue.

Sandals come in both in the comfortable casual style and the elegant dressy style. While the casual sandals usually do not have heels, the dressy ones come with heels of different sizes and leather straps.

Mules are much like slip-ons, backless, low to medium heeled. Mules are good complements with skirts and pants, and you can also wear them to your office-of course, if your office does not have a formal covered shoe policy.

Boots are those special things that you wear when you are out for some action like horse riding. Also, you can wear them just to make a bold statement. Boots are usually a little high towards the back; some fashionable ones reach the ankle, while some other really bold ones reach right up to the thigh. Boots go well with skirts and jeans and gives the wearer a passionate confident look.
