When people think of imagery, they think of items that have either changed the face of a genre or changed the face of a nation. While many of us tend to ignore those images, they’re in our society and culture and they affect everything we do. Some are more subtle than others and what’s interesting is that the ones that are so big tend to go unnoticed by us. While this is not uncommon, it’s still important that we are made aware of them. One of the images that has graced our culture in recent years is clothing… more specifically Western boots.
These boots I’m speaking of are Chippewa boots and Justin boots. For years they have been become iconic in the way that they are a symbol of the great American west. They epitomize the hardworking individuals of the American west and what America is essentially made of. They represent more than that, though. They represent a time when the country came together in the time of need. People came together for the common good of their fellow man.
This is what Chippewa and Justin boots are. It’s hard to not take pride in these boots when you slip them on or when you see them for that matter. The imagery is as old as the American west, but the standards of that still remain the same.
Buying a pair of Chippewa boots or Justin will put you in the upper echelon of society. Wear them anywhere from the ball game or to the prom. Feel what the Cowboys felt by slipping on a pair of these boots.
