Condition & Protect
Before initial use of your leather product, easily and properly, wipe down your handbag, tote or duffle and wallet with a soft damp cloth to remove any surface dust. Afterwards, condition. Resist the urge to rub the powder in after sufficient time has passed - instead use a leather care brush (or old toothbrush) to remove the powder.
Color Restoration
Clean leather with Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner, through application to a damp soft cloth, gently rubbing into leather with a swirling motion. Reapply and repeat as necessary. Rinse cloth and remove conditioner. Afterwards, use another clean dried cloth to dry any damp areas. Wet cloth applying conditioner and massage into the leather. Let stand for 30 minute absorption for color restoration. Use another clean dry soft cloth for wiping down and drying the leather. Be sure that any remaining conditioner is removed from any stitching, nooks or gaps. Finally, let your leather dry for a minimum of 30 minutes to an hour. Furthermore, drying time may vary based on external temperature. Enjoy your beautiful revitalized leather!
Storage of Your Leather Handbag, Tote or Duffle
Store your fine leather in a dark, dry room - usually a closet, or perhaps an under bed storage drawer. This prevents fading. Think also about storing in a type of dust cover case or pillow case, and one that is natural in fabric and is breathable. This eliminates potential toxins or mildew from unnatural fabrics. Consider color coding. Alternatively, a canvas door hanger or canvas shelving unit is another option for ease of visibility with multiple compartmental storage. Furthermore, you may wish to consider inserting tissue paper between the bags to protect them from possible hardware scratching from the additional leather bag.
