What is Eco clothing? And why should you have it in your closet? Eco clothing is a type of clothing made from cotton just like any other t-shirt on the shelf. You probably would not be able to tell the difference from the two if you held them up next to one another. The difference is in how they are made. Eco clothing is made from cotton that is grown without the use of pesticides. Or they could be made from recycled materials.
Either way, they are the more environmentally friendly way of making clothing.Eco clothing is not a new concept. The use of hemp as a material to make clothes has been around for years. But now the trend to go green has hit everything from clothes to building houses. It is no longer thought of as an eccentric fashion statement anymore. Being green and having Eco clothing is fashionable and in. You are no longer seen as just a tree hugger who is trying to make a statement. You are now seen as someone who is conscious of the impact you make on the environment and wants to help make a difference in the way we as a society live.
But Eco clothing is not just about being fashionable. You are helping the environment. By buying organic cotton, you are reducing the number of pesticides used, which in turn helps the quality of air and water in our environment. You are helping to stop the pollution that not only affects our air and water but you are also helping to support the farmers that are finding environmentally friendly practices for growing their crop. You can help farmers expand their knowledge of how to be environmentally friendly without being so dependent on chemicals to help them grow their crops.
Eco clothing can generally cost more than your regular cotton t-shirt. But we see more and more companies starting to embrace the use of organic cotton. Once more companies start incorporating Eco clothing into their line of clothes, consumers will see a drop in price making it more attractive and affordable to buy. By supporting Eco clothing, you are not only making a fashion statement, you are also making a statement about how you would like to see our environment taken care of rather than being abused. You would be helping to do your part in preserving our natural resources for future generations.
