The cowboy boots you see today are not just stylish or hip, but also very fashionable product of the now-fashion. Like Beatles or Conspiracy Theories it has been in and out of style but has always been prevalent as a permanent mode for exhibiting macho or cool look. It is rather amazing that today’s market is rich with several styles of cowboy boots. There are many traditional styled hats and there are lots of the contemporary unique ones.

There are two ways you can get your cowboy boot, either you buy it readymade or order and tailor it according to your fit; almost like a suit.

Just like other products in the market, some brands are intensely preferred by the people’ they favor it according to their choices. The well known brands in this business are: Durango, Ariat, Justin, Dan Post, Dingo, Acme, Double-H, Laredo, Georgia, Roper, Tony Lama, Sage, Lucchese, Nocola, and Frye besides others.

It began back around 1955, when Double-H Boots started as a seed at its hometown of Richland, Pennsylvania. Things started to change for the low production shoe company when the H.H Brown Shoe Company bought it. They started it keeping a wider range, variety and market boundary in mind.

Shortly after that the company changed its name to Richland Shoe Company and so started the manufacturing boots. In a very short time one competitor in the market launched a unique style of “harness boot.” H.H. Brown supplied the market with a similar manufacture named “snoot boot”, it took the market as it was cheaper. For a long time from then on the chief production has been those shoes. Richland and Carolina Shoe Company had same sales manager as they had collaborated through shareholding. However, when the market started growing further west then it had to establish its own system.

Around 1970s, western boots were the most in thin of the markets. It is the Richland Company who first created safety toe in boots, and was the first boot to pass Class 75 ANSI tests for safety footwear. When the market was hit by sophisticated gadgets and techniques then the company had to expand its business to dress as well. In 1981, it was once again time to expand but now it was a rather physical extension; there was another station at Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania to get a better space for the large manufacturing effects. In 1993 the name was again changed to now famous Double-H Boots to remember the dedication of H.H Brown for the company.

Even to this day the majority of manufacturing or tailoring work is done in the factories of Womelsdorf facility. The business of Double-H Boots now expands overseas with its fashion and style statements in dresses and boots.

In the spring of 2002, Acme Boot Company was bought by Double-H Boots and thereby launched a new set of dresses and shoes for men, women and even children.

It was around 1995, that Double-H made a début on the Sonora line of western enthused fashion footwear for women. Sonora is a very important name in fashion line, specially after launching the women’s footwear; there has also been a tentative date of 2006 for thee launching of a total men’s collection. Double-H is famous for the shoes and the dress, but the most for its fashion statement.
